If you’re planning a visit to Marrakech, the first step to booking your accommodation is to check out where the city’s best riads lie… there is nothing more authentic than living it up in a beautiful riad to get a taste of how true locals live, albeit with a hint of luxury. Riad Le Rihani was the perfect choice – a stone’s throw away from the chaos of the main square and it’s many souks – a lovely little oasis with delicious food and Middle Eastern hospitality at its best.
The Rooms + Facilities
Each room in this beautiful riad is unique, with exposed brick walls in some, and elegant, ornately carved headboards to make you feel like royalty. Each almost a little secret in itself, they look on to the sunny and lush courtyard in the middle.
Wake up to a delicious Moroccan breakfast with local pancakes, cake, fresh bread, eggs, Moroccan tea (of course!) and other authentic delicacies (I won’t give any more away). Enjoy the sunshine and devour this feast on the roof of the riad, amongst its many tables and sun beds – which, if you’ve come in the summer, make for optimal morning sunbathing.
Dinner requires a whole separate mention. Their beef tagine is to-die-for! Easily some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Large quantities, enough to feed an army, and some of the most wholesome homemade and delicious food – there is nothing better to come back to after a crazy day navigating through Marrakech’s souks.
Would I Recommend It?
With staff as hospitable as at this riad, and the perpetual feeling of utter homeliness and relaxation, there is no way I could not recommend this beautiful hidden gem in Marrakech. Click here to book it the next time you are visiting Marrakech!
